  • The organisation was founded by Alice Armitage in 1931

  • NCBI helps over 16,000 people who are blind or visually impaired all over Ireland
  • Only 5% of service users are blind, 95% have varying degrees of sight loss
  • NCBI also helps organisations to make their facilities user friendly and accessible
